AI access is the new opportunity gap.
After 14 years running companies and the last two building with AI as a core layer, one thing is obvious: AI is already an enormous tool for learning, creating, building, and earning. The teenagers who get fluent in it before college will compound for decades. The ones who don't will fall further behind a divide that's already opening.
Most of the kids on the wrong side of that line aren't there because they lack drive or talent. They're there because their family can't spend $20 a month on a Claude or ChatGPT subscription. The price of the most powerful tool of this generation is, for them, the difference between gas and groceries.
Project 10.30 closes that gap, one teen at a time.
One thing, every month, per kid.
$20/month for a Claude or ChatGPT subscription. The actual AI tool, paid every month for as long as the kid is in the program. That's it. Simple.
$20/month. $240/year. One kid gets a year of access for what most adults spend on coffee in a month.
Apply. Get funded. Show your work.
1. Apply. A short application: who you are, what high school you go to, why you want this, and what you'd build or learn with the AI. This is the part where you sell yourself a little.
2. Get funded. If you're in, we cover your Claude or ChatGPT subscription. $20/month, every month, as long as you're in the program.
3. Show your work. Every month, send a short update on what you built, learned, or are working on. As long as that's coming in, the funding keeps flowing. Stop sending it, and the funding stops.
Simple deal. Low overhead. Real accountability.
Why it shares the name with the firm.
10.30 is October 30th. My daughter's birthday. The consulting firm Ten Thirty Co and Project 10.30 share the name on purpose.
The work overlaps in spirit. Most of what moves a business forward, and most of what moves a young person forward, is unglamorous, patient, and structural. Systems, access, and people who give a damn. That's the throughline.
